Japanese Peace Garden
On Friday 2nd July, Stivichall pupils attended and participated in the official opening of the Japanese Peace Garden in the Memorial Park. Over the past 2 years, our children have been involved in designing and then constructing the Peace Garden which was officially opened by His Excellency Ambassador Hayashi and the Lord Mayor of Coventry. Pupils from Stivichall welcomed guests and dignitaries and delivered a speech whilst others performed in a Taiko drumming display. The garden is now open to be enjoyed by the public and we’d love to hear what you think. We are incredibly proud of the children’s involvement in the project and their ongoing commitment to the theme of Peace and reconciliation which links Coventry and Japan.
